- Talk to family, friends, neighbours and co-workers to see if they have unused equipment.
- Thrift stores often have sports equipment.
- Check www.kijiji.ca for those "offering" equipment or post a "wanted" ad.

Arnold Anderson Sport Fund A non-profit organization which will pay sport registration fees for those children who could not otherwise afford to play. For applications or to make a donation call 519.759.8404 or email aasportfund@kwic.com.

Canadian Tire Jumpstart To apply for funding: call the toll free number (1-877-616-6600) year round and a representative will provide you with the contact information of your local Canadian Tire Jumpstart chapter, based on your postal code. The Canadian Tire Jumpstart chapter contact will require detailed information about the children applying for funding, the organization where the activity will take place and the costs of the activity. A financial needs assessment may also be required to determine eligibility. Read more.

Can We Help? Brantford Parks and Recreation would like to ensure that all children and youth of our municipality have the opportunity to access recreation and leisure service. To make this possible, financial assistance is available to qualified applicants for most registered or drop in programs offered by Brantford Parks and Recreation. Call 519.756.1500.
Wayne Gretzky Foundation The foundations mission is to provide less fortunate youth with the opportunity to experience the sport of hockey. Donations of hockey equipment and ice time are available, as well as the opportunity for young people to attend professional hockey games. Call 519.752.7199.
Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre Financial assistance is available for children and youth based on total household yearly income and the number of people in your family, for swimming lessons, day camp and pool punch cards. Call 519.756.9900.
YMCA As a charitable organization, the YMCA strives to serve all segments of the community, including those with limited financial means. Donors to the YMCA make this possible. We Can Help The County of Brant Parks & Recreation would like to ensure that all children and youth of our Municipality have the opportunity to access recreation and leisure services. Assistance is available to eligible children and youth from 0 to 18 years of age. Subsidies are limited to 2 activities or programs per participant per session depending on funding available.
